Which platforms does Story support?
The Story app runs on Apple Vision Pro (visionOS). ProStory, the creation tool, runs on macOS, and TapStory runs on iPhone and iPad for control and mirroring. All three work together over your local network — and more platforms are on the way.
Is it free to start?
Yes. ProStory, Story, and TapStory all offer free tiers, so you can create, play, and control experiences at no cost. Premium and Professional subscriptions remove the limits when you need more.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. ProStory is fully visual — you build scenes, animations, and interactions with timeline and event editing, without writing a single line of code.
Can clients without a headset take part?
Yes. SharePlay lets people join a session nearby or over FaceTime, and TapStory mirrors the live Vision Pro view on an iPhone or iPad so everyone can follow along.
What file formats can I use?
ProStory imports 3D models in usdz format, images, audio, and video — including immersive video — plus skyboxes, so you can build rich scenes from the assets you already have.
